We're Out of Town

We're out and about this weekend. Right now we're waiting on Michael to finish getting ready so we can head back to Dallas.

Michael needed a break from work, since it's a 24-7 thing for him. So we are in Galveston. Dylan came along for the trip.

I'll be posting pictures later this evening when we're home.

We got into Galveston Friday night and yesterday was jam packed. We went to Moody Gardens for a large portion of the day. We took them to the Aquarium Pyramid to see all the penguins, sharks, seals, and fish. Then we did the 3-D Dino Imax show and the Dino Ride Film. They had a Dinosaurs Alive exhibit of life size dinosaurs that moved. Then we took a ride on the paddle boat in the bay. We had planned on going to some of the other exhibits, but the boys were bugging us to go to the beach.

We spent a couple hours at the beach. The boys played in the sand and went out on boogie boards. We buried Sean from the waist down and made him look like a merman. (one of the pics I HAVE to post)

All the running around didn't stop til 10pm, no naps, just going all day long.

On our way back we'll be stopping at the NASA Space Center and the Children's Museum... if Michael will EVER get out of the shower.

Sean's 1st Plane Ride

Last weekend was Sean's first plane ride. Our family went on a long weekend getaway to Legoland and Disneyland. A little boys idea of a weekend I'm sure. Sean was very excited about the plane ride. We flew on Southwest Airlines and I thought we were only going to have one layover, but it turned out that San Diego was the 3rd stop on the flight. Needless to say we were all grumpy when we arrived in San Diego around 10:15pm.



Friday December 5th was Legoland - check out the pictures
Comment of the Day - We were walking through Miniland Usa, the portion of the park that had major cities constructed out of Legos. At one point Sean said, "Let's move on." Clearly he wasn't as impressed by the exhibit as we were.


Saturday December 6th was Disneyland - check out the pictures
Sean wanted to do everything... we just let him lead the way. However, the highlight was Sean getting picked for the Jedi Training Academy. We had taught Sean, the hour prior to the show, to jump up and down and yell as loud as he could "Pick me, pick me!!" He enjoyed doing the training, until the music for the Storm Troopers, Darth Vader and Darth Maul came on. He came running back to us in the audience... Maybe next time he'll defeat Darth Vader and his posse.
